Mission Trails Regional Park

This "amazing" park is located in the city of San Diego, just 12 miles from Downtown. It stretches over 4,600 acres and includes several different trails for you to explore. There are 42 miles of trails to hike and explore.

The park is popular with local hikers and runners and offers a variety of hikes at varying levels of difficulty. Everything in the park is free, including the large visitor's center and all guided hikes.

San Diego Zoo

The San Diego zoo is an amazing family-friendly attraction that features over 3,700 animals from 800 species. It is home to the world's largest collection of rare and endangered species in a single location.

It includes a variety of exhibits, parks, and gardens for visitors to explore, including a reptile house, deserts, polar region, and a huge Elephant area. There is also a children's zoo with tons of kid-friendly animal exhibits.

The zoo offers several tours and classes, such as zookeeper talks, feeding demonstrations, and animal care presentations. And visitors can even meet animals up close at scheduled encounters throughout the year.

The Zoo is located within Balboa Park, which is another top destination in San Diego.

Point Loma lighthouse

The Point Loma Lighthouse sits on a seaside bluff with an amazing view of San Diego Bay, Coronado Island, Point Loma Peninsula, and downtown San Diego. The best part? You can climb to the top of the lighthouse.

Mission Bay

Located just north of Downtown San Diego, this beachfront community is a great place to spend the day playing in the sand. It is a human-made bay that beckons water sports and boating enthusiasts all year long.

Mission Bay is home to over 4,500 acres of land and water activities, making it one of the largest urban aquatic parks in America!

Mission Bay is full of things to do and see, including the SeaWorld Adventure Park, and the Mission Bay Golf Course, and many boat tours on offer. It's also home to some incredible restaurants.
