A young man in search of his best friend discovers mysterious beings, powerful crystal caverns and a possible conspiracy

FRESNO, Calif., Nov. 10, 2020 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) – SB Andresen combines her fascination with science fiction and the human mind to create a new world of fascinating characters. She incorporated the beauty and magic of crystals into the plot. “The Crystalline Planet” (published by Balboa Press) is the first book in the “Crystal Caverns” trilogy about humanity’s search for its essence and its place in the universe.

Sam and Christopher grew up together in the Earthen Moon Colony. Her fathers were best friends, so her sons were constant companions. Now an adult, Christopher is sent on a secret mission to a newly discovered planet, but Christopher’s communications are long overdue. Sam is sent by his father and is now traveling to find his best friend.

Sam’s mission is to find Christopher, regain all information about the crystal caves of this new planet and return. The only evidence he has is a scan chip with a recorded message from Christopher speaking of the enigmatic, spiritual residents of seaside homes. In this recording, Christopher claims these people could be the key to finding the material he is looking for.

When Sam meets the people on this planet, he begins to uncover secrets that the planet hides, but also the secrets of his own father. After Christopher disappears without a trace, Sam needs to know what his best friend found. Is Christopher sure now part of one of the planetary tribes or does something much more devious – and political – play a role?

“People are currently looking for their place in the world. They also love solving a puzzle. You will see aspects of yourself in the characters and residents of Iloora, ”says Andresen. When asked what readers should take away from writing this novel, she replies, “Humanity has the inner strength to quickly recover from difficulties and to adapt in the face of trauma, tragedy and adversity. We show resilience through self-awareness, mindfulness, self-care, positive relationships and intentions. “For more information on this book, please visit
